Stop-loss and take-profit explained
Why every crypto trade needs a stop-loss, how targets (TP1–TP3) work, and how to book profit in steps.
The two most important numbers in any trade are where you get out if you are wrong (stop-loss) and where you get paid if you are right (take-profit).
Stop-loss: your seat belt
Crypto can move 5–10% in minutes. A stop-loss automatically closes the trade at a pre-decided price so one bad trade cannot wipe out your account. BINWIN.AI places the stop beyond normal volatility (based on ATR) so that random noise does not knock you out too early.
Take-profit in steps
- TP1 — the first, closest target. Many traders book 40–50% here and move the stop to entry (break-even).
- TP2 — book another part.
- TP3 — let the rest run for a bigger move.
Risk-reward ratio
If your stop is 1% away and TP1 is 1.5% away, the reward is 1.5× the risk. With a positive risk-reward you can be profitable even if fewer than half of your trades win.
