Leverage and futures trading basics for beginners
What leverage really does, how liquidation works, and why low leverage keeps beginners alive.
Futures let you trade a coin's price without owning it, in both directions (LONG and SHORT). Leverage lets you open a bigger position with a smaller deposit (margin).
Leverage multiplies both profit and loss
At 10× leverage a 1% move becomes a 10% gain or loss on your margin. A 10% move against you can wipe the margin completely — this is called liquidation.
Simple rules
- Beginners: stay at 2×–5×.
- Use isolated margin so one trade cannot touch the rest of your balance.
- Your stop-loss must always be hit before the liquidation price.
- Size your position by risk, not by leverage.
BINWIN.AI shows a suggested leverage range on each signal, but how much you use is always your own decision.
